Eligibility snapshot

Pay by Demand Draft only, in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. 1", drawn on any scheduled (nationalised or private) bank and payable at Kolkata. The DD must be issued after the date of this advertisement and submitted with the application form. A separate DD is needed for each post applied for. Fees paid by any other mode are not accepted. Fee once paid is not refunded under any circumstances.

Pay & Allowances
Consolidated remuneration: Professor Rs. 2,63,070/-; Associate Professor Rs. 1,74,936/-; Assistant Professor Rs. 1,50,294/-
Transport allowance with DA on transport allowance is payable as per rules. DA on transport allowance is revised from time to time.
When the Government of India revises DA rates, the consolidated remuneration is raised by an amount equal to DA on the sum of the minimum pay of the pay level for the post and 20% NPA thereon.
The consolidated remuneration structure follows ESIC Headquarters OM F No. Z-17/11/1/2007/Med.IV (Pt. File) dated 13.04.2022 and OM F No. Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI dated 08.12.2022.
No other allowances are paid.
Good to know before you apply
Purely contractual, one month's notice The post is purely contractual and either side can terminate it with one month's prior notice without assigning any reason. Selection does not confer any right to confirmation or continuation, as the posts are to be filled by regular candidates.
Term of contract The contract is for three years, or until a regular incumbent is posted or the faculty member attains 70 years, whichever is earlier. It is subject to annual renewal based on performance review, and the maximum tenure cannot go beyond 70 years of age.
No private practice Private practice is not allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.
No TA/DA No TA/DA is admissible for joining the institution, the medical test or submission of other documents.
Reserved posts and other categories If suitable SC / ST / OBC candidates are not available, candidates from other categories may be considered for less than 45 days against reserved posts, as per Government of India order no. 36036/3/2018 Estt. (Res.) dated 15.05.2018. The contract is renewable with further advertisement in the absence of reserved candidates.
Interview is provisional Mere submission of an application does not give a right to be interviewed, and the interview opportunity is provisional. Wrong declarations or false information lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage without notice.
Right to vary vacancies The Dean, ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Joka may increase, decrease or cancel any or all posts, or withdraw an offer of engagement, without assigning any reason.
