Eligibility snapshot
| Nationality | Candidates must be citizens of India. |
| Age limit | Maximum age as per RCPP-2023, post-wise upper limits as listed above. For Institute's employees (regular, contractual and outsourced) there is no upper age limit, provided at least one year of service remains on the last date of submission of application till superannuation. |
| Age relaxation | As per Government of India norms. SC/ST/OBC relaxation is given on submission of a valid community certificate, only against vacancies reserved for those categories. No relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved posts. |
| Recognised qualification | Qualifications must be from recognised Universities / Institutions. Post-Graduation (where applicable) must be minimum 2 years and Under Graduate Degree minimum 3 years duration. If a qualification is treated as equivalent, the authority must be indicated and documents produced. |
| Grades / CGPA | Applicants with grades or grade points (CGPA / DGPA / SGPA / FGPA etc.) must write the percentage equivalent as per their Board / University formula, with certification from the Board / University. |
| IDA / CDA / other pay scales | Applicants working in IDA / CDA or other pay scales must upload an equivalency certificate as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, and produce it again at document verification. |
| PwBD | Persons with Disabilities of the suitable categories with minimum 40% disability are eligible to apply. Post-wise suitability is given under PwBD Suitability. |
Selection process
Selection is in three stages. Marks from the Skill / Trade Test are not carried forward to the written test.
Stage 1: Shortlisting of online applications
An Institute-level Scrutiny Committee screens applications on the basis of information in the online form. If applications are very numerous, it may apply shortlisting criteria based on desirable qualifications, relevant experience and other prescribed criteria. Its decision is final.
Stage 2: Computer Skill Test / Trade Test
May be conducted separately or combined, to further shortlist candidates for the written test. Qualifying in nature; criteria for qualifying marks are decided by the Institute.
QualifyingStage 3: Written Test
100 marks: Part-A (General) 50 marks and Part-B (Specialization) 50 marks. Indicative syllabus for each position is available on the Institute website. Final selection is by merit in the written test. The panel remains valid for one year from approval of the Competent Authority.

Fee is paid through the payment gateway and is non-refundable under any circumstances. Candidates applying for more than one post must apply separately and pay the fee for each post.
