Good to know before you apply
Walk-in interview — no online application Attend in person on 14 October 2026 with the duly filled application form and original documents. Reporting time is 08:45 AM and the entry gate closes at 10:00 AM.
Remuneration with NET / GATE (Project Associate-I) Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA is for candidates with CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET (including lectureship / assistant professorship) or GATE, or who have qualified national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions. Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA is for all others.
Annual increment Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience in the same project.
Temporary, co-terminus engagement The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It confers no right or claim to regularization or absorption against any IICB / CSIR post.
Maximum tenure Total tenure cannot exceed six years under any circumstances, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance is reviewed periodically, and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without notice or reason.
Right to reject or cancel The Institute reserves the right of selection or rejection of a candidature, including cancellation of the advertisement, without assigning any reason. The number of vacancies (around 16) may increase or decrease.
Terms & Conditions of Tenure
The project positions are for a duration of up to one year initially. Extension can be considered based on requirement and review by the review committee, and is decided as per CSIR rules for engagement of project staff.
