Executive Trainee (Safety) (E-2 Grade)
Eligibility: Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Production with minimum 65% marks (55% for SC candidates), along with a full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety from an institute recognized under the Factories Act Rules; OR an Engineering Degree in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety with minimum 65% marks (55% for SC candidates) from an institution recognized under the same framework.
Experience: Desired: 1 year of post-qualification experience in statutory safety compliance under the Factories Act, development or auditing of safety systems, promotion of safety culture, and safety examination of machinery and buildings. Experience in safety training and firefighting is an added advantage
Pay scale: Rs. 50,000-3%-1,60,000 (IDA scale)
Age limit: UR 30 years, OBC (NCL) 33 years, SC 35 years (as on 01.07.2026)

Selection process
Selection consists of scrutiny of online applications, a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and a personal interview.

Scrutiny of applications
Applications are scrutinized and shortlisted on the basis of marks in the Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Electrical / Production) along with the full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety, or the Engineering Degree in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety, and experience.

Computer-Based Test (CBT)
100 marks, 2 hours. Section 1: Subject Knowledge Test (Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety), 75 marks. Section 2: Executive Aptitude Test (numerical ability, reading comprehension, reasoning, general awareness, data interpretation etc.), 25 marks. Objective type, four options, 1 mark each, negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.

Personal interview
Covers General Knowledge, Aptitude for the Job, Extra-Curricular activities and Professional Specific Knowledge. Candidates are called for CBT and interview in order of merit.

How to Apply
1. Go to www.neepco.co.in and open the Careers section.
2. General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates pay the application fee (Rs. 560) through SBI ePay favouring NEEPCO.
3. Fill in the online application form with accurate details, including marks / percentage in graduation and experience, and submit.
4. Upload scanned copies of the required documents in the separate spaces given in the form.
5. The system generates a unique registration / application number. Take a printout of the registration slip / form for future reference.
Online submission starts 11-10-2026 and closes 31-10-2026.

Scanned copies of certificates must be legible, otherwise the candidature will be treated as cancelled / rejected. Documents in a language other than Hindi / English need a translated copy in Hindi or English.

Service agreement bond Selected candidates must execute a non-transferable Service Agreement and Surety Bond on non-judicial stamp paper, with a surety, for an amount not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000 (General / EWS / OBC (NCL)) or Rs. 1,25,000 (SC), to serve the company for a minimum of 4 years including the training period, if appointment is regularized.
One year training, then E-3 grade Selected candidates undergo one year of training at one or more locations of the Corporation and are then placed in E-3 grade. Applying is treated as consent to work anywhere in the country.
NOC for serving employees Candidates employed in Government Departments / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview, and a relieving letter at the time of joining.
Keep e-mail and mobile active Keep your e-mail ID and mobile number active until results are declared. No change is allowed once entered. Call letters are available on the recruitment portal as a downloadable PDF, with SMS / e-mail notification.
Canvassing disqualifies Candidates canvassing directly or indirectly will be disqualified. Applications with blurred or illegible photograph, signature or documents will be rejected.

Compensation Package
Selected candidate is placed in the IDA pay scale of Rs. 50,000-3%-1,60,000.
Monthly emoluments: Rs. 50,000 basic + DA, HRA at the applicable rate (where Corporation accommodation is not available), Cafeteria allowance at 35% of Basic Pay, Location Based Allowance at 10% of Basic Pay.
Employer contribution: 12% of Basic Pay plus DA towards Provident Fund and 9% of Basic Pay plus DA towards NEDCSS (NEEPCO Employees Defined Contribution Superannuation Scheme).
Other benefits as per Company Rules: leave, medical benefit for self and dependent family members, Performance Related Pay (PRP), gratuity (as applicable), uniform, communication expenses and furniture reimbursement.
Minimum monthly CTC will be around Rs. 1,00,000 (approx.).
Important Conditions
Vacancies may vary as per NEEPCO requirements.
NEEPCO reserves the right to increase, decrease, cancel, modify, restrict or enlarge the vacancies, to fill or not fill them, or to alter any condition, without further notice or reason.
NEEPCO may fix eligibility criteria for cut-off marks and limit the number of candidates called, depending on the number of applications.
Offers of appointment are issued in order of merit and based on requirement. In case of equal marks, the older candidate is placed higher in the merit list.
A candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage, or after joining, if information is found false or eligibility is not met.
Incomplete applications, or those received after the closing date, are summarily rejected.
Application fee is non-refundable even if the candidature is rejected.
In case of any dispute over interpretation, the English version prevails. Legal jurisdiction is Shillong, Meghalaya.
