| Nationality | Indian citizens |
| Age | Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.09.2026, i.e. born not earlier than 02.09.1998 and not later than 01.09.2006 (both days inclusive). The maximum age applies to General and EWS candidates. |
| Age relaxation | SC/ST: 5 years. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years. PwBD: 10 years. Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: upper age up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) is allowed on a cumulative basis with only one of the other relaxation categories. |
| Education | Graduation in any discipline, passed between 01.01.2023 and 01.09.2026 (both days inclusive). |
| Portal registration | Candidates must have a 100% complete profile on the NATS apprenticeship portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) before applying. |
| Local language | Candidates who have a 10th or 12th mark sheet/certificate showing they studied the opted local language are exempt from the local language test. Others will take a local language test at Document Verification; failing it means not being engaged. |
| Not eligible | Candidates who have already undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship training with Canara Bank or any other organisation, or whose training was terminated due to their own fault. Candidates with 1 or more years of training or job experience after completing their qualification. Ex-servicemen are not engaged and get no reservation. |
| Medical fitness | Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit as per the Bank's requirement. |
| State choice | Candidates can opt for training seats in only ONE state. |
Selection process
Selection is state-wise and based on merit. Merit is prepared only from the information submitted in the online application.
Online application and merit list
State-wise merit list in descending order of marks/percentage in 12th Std (HSC/10+2) or Diploma examination. Ties are broken by age (older candidate ranked higher).
Qualifying: 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD)Document Verification and local language test
Shortlisted candidates appear for Document Verification. The local language test, where applicable, is held at the same time.
Medical fitness and final engagement
Final selection depends on eligibility verification, qualifying in the local language test (where applicable) and medical fitness. Digital apprenticeship contract is issued via the NATS portal.
Application fee
Fee is non-refundable and payable online only (Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets).
