Selection process
To limit the number of candidates, NTPC may run a multi-stage selection process, or raise the minimum eligibility criteria. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee shortlisting.

| Experience | All documents for one organization together, in chronological order from first to current company: experience/service certificate (NTPC prescribed sample format), offer/appointment letter, confirmation/absorption letter or order on completion of training (if any), joining order/letter, role assignment orders, promotion orders, transfer orders, organization charts etc. to show work area/department/section, 02 pay slips per every year, and Form-16 for each organization |

2. Keep a valid email ID. NTPC is not responsible for bouncing of any email sent to candidates.
3. Read the full advertisement and agree to all conditions while applying.
4. Upload all required documents.
5. Pay the application fee if applicable (General/EWS/OBC).
6. After applying, download the application slip with the unique application number and keep a copy.
7. Do not send any document by post.
Good to know before you apply
Category cannot be changed The category filled in the online application cannot be changed, and no benefit of another category is admissible later. Candidates must hold the valid EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/Disability certificate for the applicable year.
Computation dates Age, experience and qualification are all computed as on the last date of receipt of online applications.
Transferable posts Posting is at Great Nicobar Island, but posts are transferable to any NTPC Office/Station/Project/JV/Subsidiary at the sole discretion of the management.
Vacancies may change The projected vacancies may increase or decrease as per organizational requirement. NTPC may cancel, restrict, curtail or increase vacancies without notice or reason.
False information If a candidate is found ineligible or to have given false information or suppressed facts at any stage, the candidature is cancelled automatically. After appointment, services are liable to be terminated without notice. Canvassing in any form disqualifies the candidate.
Updates only on NTPC website Any addendum, corrigendum or update will be published only on careers.ntpc.co.in.
Legal jurisdiction and language Disputes can be instituted only in Delhi, and Delhi courts alone have jurisdiction. If versions differ in interpretation, the English version prevails.

Health and Medical Standards
Before joining, candidates undergo a medical examination by the NTPC Medical Board/Officer, whose decision is final and binding.
No relaxation in the prescribed health standards is allowed.
