| Education | Minimum essential qualification as per post, from a UGC recognised Indian University / UGC recognised Deemed University / AICTE approved Autonomous Institution / concerned Statutory Council / Board of Technical Education. Percentage is the average of all semesters/years and is not rounded off (59.99% is not 60%). Where CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the University's conversion formula applies; if none exists, multiply by 10 and submit proof that the University has no formula. |
| What counts as experience | Only experience gained after the result of the qualifying degree/diploma counts. Short-term trainee work, teaching and research experience in an academic institute, freelance work and entrepreneurial experience are not counted. For intermittent jobs, only actual days in full-time work are counted. |
| Government / PSU employees | Candidates employed in Central/State Government, PSUs or autonomous bodies must forward their application through Proper Channel or produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of Personal Interview, or they will not be allowed to appear. |

Selection process
Selection is through Personal Interview only. Merit is drawn purely on Personal Interview performance.
Screening of applications
Eligible candidates are called for Personal Interview in the ratio 1:10 (post : candidates). If more candidates are eligible, one or both of these elimination screens may be used: higher relevant educational qualification than the minimum, or more relevant experience (counted in years, months and days) than the minimum. Screening has no weightage in the final merit.
Personal Interview and document verification
Original documents with a self-attested copy are verified at the time of Personal Interview. Selection follows the merit order of the interview. If marks are equal, the older candidate by date of birth ranks higher.

Offer of Engagement is subject to medical fitness, plus verification of Character & Antecedents, caste and pre-employment experience.
Application fee
Fee is non-refundable and payable online only. Bank/SBI Collect charges, if any, are borne by the applicant. If payment shows pending, failure or rejected, it is the candidate's responsibility to make sure payment reaches MRPL before the due date, or the candidature is cancelled.
